Follows the story of optimistic dreamer Maurice Flitcroft, who managed to enter the qualifying round of the British Open golf tournament in 1976 despite a lack of experience and played the worst round in its history. Maurice Flitcroft, a dreamer and unrelenting optimist, managed to gain entry to The British Open Golf Championship Qualifying in 1976 and subsequently shot the worst round in Open history, becoming a folk hero in the process.
